Teen TAWG Guide

Hello teens! Here is yesterday’s and today’s TAWG guide. TAWG stands for time alone with God. I hope that you’ll join us on Skype for the Bible study. We’re meeting at 2PM EST from the end of Teen Camp through August 7th. See you there!

Monday, July 25th
Text: Psalm 139
What’s the big idea?
V. 1-12 According to the Psalmist, what does God know about you?
v. 13-16 How does God view you?
v. 23-24 In these verses, David asks God to search him and point out anything that doesn’t please God. If God can see and knows everything about you, what are some things God finds when He searches you? What’s the difference between feeling guilty about something and being convicted by God about something? What is the result of conviction?
Chewing gum thought: In Romans 5:8, Paul says that Jesus died for us even though we were still sinners. Even though Jesus knows everything about us, the good, the bad, and the ugly, He still chose to sacrifice himself for us.

Tuesday, July 26th
Text: Colossians 1:1-14
What’s the big idea?
How would your life be different if you had never heard the Bible? How have you seen it change the lives of people around you?
Who is someone that you’ve looked up to in your walk of faith and been a mentor/model for you?
What does it mean to live a life worthy of the Lord?
Paul talks about endurance and patience. How do we get endurance and patience? When was a time that you felt like you had to give up? Did you? What made you keep going?
Chewing gum thought: There are people praying for you. You are not alone.
